SSJRTC is very proud of our young members. Young club members need not have their own Jack Russell-- we can always find available Jacks to play with them!
They may participate in any SSJRTC event but the classes listed below are designed especially for them. Young club members are judged on their ability to present their dog and knowledge of the class in which they are competing. Child's age Jan 1 applies all year.

SSJRTC Youth Wins Norah Risley Scholarship! 7-6-08 Joseph (Joey) Show has been awarded the 2008 Norah Risley Scholarship by the JRTCA.
This educational scholarship was announced at the Liberty Bell Trial yesterday.
Joey is the son of proud club members Bill and Cam Show. He is enrolled at the Tallahassee Community College and plans to attend Embry-Riddle University to study AeroSpace Engineering and Astrophysics. He and his beloved JRT, Spitfire, would like to go on the first manned craft to Mars!
SSJRTC Praise For Joey!
On behalf of the SSJRTC I wish to congratulate Joseph Show, or as most people know him Joey, for being awarded the Norah Risely Scholarship.Joey has been instrumental in the club’s trials, serving as GTG Steward, Set-up and Tear-down of different events and just an all around good natured young man. When I gave him a job to do, he always did his best and asked if there was anything else he could do.What more could you ask for!Joey took great pride in his responsibilities as GTG Steward at the club’s trials and as Trial Committee Chairperson, I always knew that the job was covered and didn’t have to worry about it.I also watched him handle his JRT, Spitfire, with love and respect.I hope the best for his future and I am sure he will still find time in his life for our club and our JRT’s.
Congratulations Joey, we are very proud of you.
John Tyno
President SSJRTC
We just want to congratulate Joey Show on his receiving the Nona Risley Scholarship. He is a great asset to our club. I remember the first time he helped at the GTG. He did such a great job and when I came back to relieve him he told me, “No, that’s ok I got it”.
I got such a kick out of his enthusiasm and was very impressed at the way he is always getting in there to help. He is always helping, is good with his dogs, and a Great GTG steward. We wish you all the luck in the future Joey.
Sincerely,
Mike & Karen DiBernardo
SSJRTC Board Member & wife
It is so gratifying to see a young man like Joey Show rewarded. He was always so helpful to me with the Child and Youth Handlers. He would come by in his golf cart and say: "Miss Shelley, who do you need me to get?" Joey serves as a good example for the real reason to have Terrier Trials. Spitfire is always a Champion, to him, no matter where he places.
Shelley Holland
Past Board Member
Child & Youth Coordinator
Congratulations Joey! Your club is so very proud of you!
