Jack Book Some  members may recall during one of our events some months ago a gentlemean was there who was writing a book about JRTs.  He spoke with many of our members and took pictures of some of our dogs.  He recently ssent Rick and Gator Bradshaw an update about the book.  You can read it here and a photo is at right>   

JRT Therapy Work is Good Karma Club members Michael & Lesa Phillips report that Chloe' is now a registered therapy dog!  As a member of Paws for Friendship, Chloe' will visit nursing homes, hospitals and other facilities where therapy pet visitation is needed.  She will also be joining their new Paws to Read program, where dogs help children who are having difficulty getting started with reading.  At her first visit, she was accompained by a Great Dane and a rescued miniture horse!  Good Job Chloe'!  Chole_Therapy

Catch Me If You Can! The online magazine  The Lake Magazine.net recently published a great article about club members Jason (our club treasurer) and Lorri Jones.  You can read it here.  Thanks Jason and Lorri for ALL you do on behalf of our club and congrats on the press!

Our Members Win Big Far  Wide! Congratulations Riley Cannalla, owned by Julie Laybourne.  Nine year old Riley had impressive wins at the Huntington trials in Conneticut, the Midewest trials in Illinois and at the Canadian Nationals during 2011.  Proud to have ou and Riley in our club, Julie!  Cannalla

JRTCA Trial Changes for 2012  JRTCA Santioned Trials - Changes for 2012 - Please be advised there are several changes in store for JRTCA-sanctioned trials beginning 2012.  For the SSJRTC, this will impact our Thaw Your Paws, Sunshine Showdown and Russell Mania trials.  As well, any other JRTCA-sanctioned trials our members may travel to around the country this year will be affected.  Please familarize yourself with these changes and direct your questions to a member of our board or to the JRTCA.  Download 2012 JRTCA Changes

SSJRTC sends up a very special 'goodbye' Thank You (but goodbye only from the board) to retiring directors Jose' Esteves and Darryl Stephens.  Your assistance has always been appreciated and we look forward to your continued support as we see you at furture events.
